Sometimes a card just refuses to work. I loved the juxtaposition of the three text snippets, but the resulting card disappointed me. Ah, well — you win some, you lose some.

This one was inspired by friends who were disconcerted by a small earthquake a few days ago. 😉 As usual, click for the larger image:

Here’s one that used a little bit of everything — scrapbooking paper was rubber stamped with a musical pattern, then covered with a layer of green tissue paper to mute the background.

Gilder’s paste was used around the card’s edge, while embossing powder highlights the canted verse. Click image for larger version:

Two from Wordsworth (so aptly named), and one from Ogden Nash. I trust you can figure out which is which… 😉

There’s no place like home. 🙂

The quote is generally attributed to Daniel Webster. Click thumbnail for larger version:

It’s an odd grab-bag this evening — one more Emily, plus one Robert Frost and a fortune cookie. 😉

♣ About Me

A mild-mannered number cruncher by day, mad crafter by night! Papier mache and lampwork glass beads are my favorite media, but anything that recycles/repurposes existing materials is likely to catch my attention. :-)

Bullet points: one husband, oodles of nieces & nephews, multiple best friends, several thousand books, silence punctuated by laughter, infinite curiosity, procrastination, distraction, a packrat nature, and a Farscape obsession; addicted to coca-cola, semicolons, and the internet. Sojourned in the Desert Southwest, the Pacific Northwest, and the Midwest, but New England is home.

Immediate family runs from evangelical Christian to active Wiccan, raving right-wing to flaming liberal; tolerance and understanding are thus Important Components of my life. On a practical level, I prefer Macintosh to Windows, dogs to cats, standard transmission over automatic, and hardcovers rather than paperbacks. Most other stuff is open to discussion.
